Orchester Leuchtet was a free project at the Faculty of Design under the supervision of guest scientist Stefan Kraus. I developed the light and video design for the orchestra Collegium Musicum Weimar as a live performance. Classical music and its performance practice require a completely different visual approach than pop and rock concerts. The program premiered in January 2016 in Weimar and Jena. The programming of the interactive application in the multimedia authoring environment TouchDesigner was done in close coordination with the musical direction of the orchestra. In addition to the design, a particular challenge was the practical implementation in the two locations, which demanded a very different scenography.
